Strandingsmuseum St. George temporarily closed due to corona virus
The Danish government has decided that all cultural institutions stay closed until after Easter due to corona virus. Strandingsmuseum St. George will therefore be closed until 14 April. If the closing period is prolonged, it will be announced on this webpage.

Strandingsmuseum St. George is Closed for the Winter until 8 February
Strandingsmuseum St. George is closed for the winter in December and January. We open the doors again on Saturday 8 February. We look forward to welcoming you in 2020, where the museum will be open every day from 10 to 17.
Strandingsmuseum St. George closed for the winter, but opens between Christmas and New Year
Strandingsmuseum St. George is closed in December and January, except for the days 27th-30th of December, where the museum, the shop and the café will be open from 10 to 17. First opening day in 2020 is Saturday the 8th of February.

The ocean currents carry messages from the sea to our shores; sometimes in the form of treasure, other times in the form of marine debris.
In 2018, the Strandingsmuseum St. George will be highlighting the global problem with plastic pollution of the oceans with the special exhibition »Clotsam – Seaborne Messages of Clotted Flotsam”.
